Tax Dodgers Run 2021

Vic Carrington-Porter sent this short report on the run.  Eddy.

On the 8th of August 11 members turned up at Marston’s for the Tax Dodgers run. Mick Leach had planned to do a hundred mile run in Derbyshire, but due to the poor weather forecast decided to lead us on a shorter run round Staffordshire. We set of in light rain which soon cleared up and we had a very pleasant ride along the lanes through Tatenhill, Dunstall, Rugeley and across Cannock Chase. After about 30 miles we stopped for a break at the KI Cafe on the A518. We had just settled down for an all day breakfast when the heavens opened with rain poring off the roof like a waterfall. After the rain had stopped we set of again through Abbotts Bromley, getting home missing most off the rain.  Many thanks to Mick for a very pleasant ride, I enjoyed it and I am sure the others did to. Vic.
