Burton Parade 2025 Review by Kate Wain
As Burton Parade first timers, we enjoyed
fabulous weather and a big turnout of lovely bikes. Lining up at the
start after signing on, Pat Davy gave an entertaining running
commentary as he waved us away ... one by one.
A delightful route through lovely villages and hamlets, going at our
own pace with route sheets and arriving at a well staffed and
stocked eatery the name of which escapes me (It was Rascal's
Cafe. Ed.)
for refreshments.
Suitably fed and watered we enjoyed a spirited second half in the
company of Brian Walker and his beautiful Comet, arriving back at
Marston's Club for 'tea and medals', or more accurately, a smashing
spread and the all important Award presentation.
Truly a fabulous event with something for everyone, at a good venue
and which is suitable for any motorcycle and rider combination...the
distribution of awards reflected the amount of Oriental machines
taking part but I do believe Mike Walker and Sam Walker upheld the
honour of the British and Italian motorcycle participants.
(We do love and encourage the older British bikes too. Ed.)
Well done the Burton Section, we are already looking forward to next
year.... (Sunday, May 10th, 2026.)
Kate Wain ... big red Guzzi.
