Rolleston-On-Dove Transport Show

Our ace roving reporter, John Earp has sent this report and photographs:

I've just got home from another great day out at the annual Rolleston-On-Dove Transport Show.
Malcolm Bridges and I arrived around 09.45 but after promises of plenty of parking space we found an old brewery lorry taking up most of our space.
After parking we went inside the Rolleston club for our breakfast cob and drink.
By now it was beginning to fill up and more bikes arrived, Dave Gould on his CB450 Black Bomber and Walter Partington on his Moto Guzzi + other bikes who’s owners I didn’t know.
We had a walk over the stream to look at the old cars on show - sometimes chatting to their owners.
More cars were also on display at Rolleston garage just a short walk away.
Bikes and lorries were parked further along the road where we met Brendan and also saw the miniature steam train with a certain well know VMCC member on board!!
Unfortunately due to the rain and a need for refreshment Malcolm and I missed the Dakota fly past which was apparently really low.  We did hear it though,  3 times, from inside the club house!
All in all it was an excellent day out.  John
